Pepperlou's STORy

Valerie Cassady and her daughter, Ellie, opened PepperLou Gifts in 2018. Their dream was to create a unique, neighborhood gift shop that highlights small businesses both locally and from across the United States.

Valerie enjoys traveling to different regions of the country and discovering specialty products, like art from Mississippi and hand painted oyster shells from South Carolina. She also likes to open PepperLou’s doors for different pop-up shops throughout the year.

 

Ellie is a young adult with special needs who loves hamburgers, musicals, and her older brothers. She likes to choose bright and fun items to put in “Ellie’s Corner,” a part of the store favored by younger customers!

 

Valerie and Ellie both adore cats, and decided to name the shop after their two feline family members, Pepper and Pixie Lou!
